Alice Ruscitto, IT Manager, represented F.lli Mauri during a workshop held at the Politecnico di Milano on Monday, November 25, focusing on cybersecurity management in small and medium-sized enterprises. The event was organized in collaboration with the Digital Innovation Observatory for SMEs.
F.lli Mauri served as an example of a company undergoing a digital transformation journey, showcasing the adoption of solutions and best practices to address the accompanying threats. The digital transition at F.lli Mauri has enabled increased operational efficiency in production processes, thereby improving competitiveness and demonstrating a strong capacity to adapt to the ever-changing market demands.
Simultaneously, a project was carried out in collaboration with MADE 4.0 to evaluate the current corporate situation in terms of the devices used, their level of updates, and the risks they pose. Indeed, digital innovations must also ensure the security of sensitive data, both for the company and its clients, to prevent operational disruptions and maintain customer trust.
Cyberattacks, which can vary in nature and intent, pose significant risks to SMEs, from fraud to malicious cyber incursions. It is crucial to adopt appropriate and compliant solutions to safeguard against such threats. The project highlighted how outdated devices and systems present a concrete risk, exposing the company to various cyber threats.
Based on these findings, the implementation of solutions has been planned, including training courses and regular awareness campaigns for users, along with updates to the current operating systems.
